Jack Leenaars FOUNDER & DIRECTOR
DelhiByCycle (DBC) is a company started by Dutchman Jack Leenaars in 2009. While working as a South Asia correspondent for De Telegraaf newspaper, one fine morning Jack started to discover the back lanes of Delhi on his cycle. From a couple of participants on his first expeditions, the cycling tours have become a full hit in Delhi’s streets. Unique and green but most important, it’s a project with a soul. Jack and his wife Noreen, their son Pjotr and their two daughters Mali and Juul, dog Beggy and cat Pommetje lived in Delhi for 12 years. In 2015 they shifted base to Goa to enjoy beautiful nature and culture and of course to explore new business opportunities. Jack commutes between Delhi and Goa to run DelhiByCycle. He also works as a consultant to set up cycle projects like DBC in other cities (e.g. in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh (UP), in a partnership with UP Tourism Department and in Bengaluru where he is a consulting partner in BengaluruByCycle).
